Part B: Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Build partnerships with local recruitment agencies and educational institutions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with Senegals labor laws and company standards.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
- Responsible for work visa application and administration of foreign employees as well as to provide mobility support for integration.
- Partner with legal counsel on any complex employment issues or disputes.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with local regulations.
- Administer payroll, ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payments.
- Oversee benefits programs, including health insurance, annual leave, and other employee perks.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating a positive work environment.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a professional and legally compliant manner.
- Organize team-building activities and engagement initiatives to promote morale and cultural alignment.
- Support managers in implementing performance management processes.
- Conduct regular reviews and feedback sessions with employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement employee recognition programs.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
- Support succession planning and career development initiatives.
- Provide coaching to managers on effective leadership and people management.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Manage relocation logistics for any incoming employees from other locations, if applicable.
- Oversee general administrative duties related to HR operations and expats relocation works
- Track and analyze key HR metrics to guide decision-making.
- Prepare regular HR reports for the Managing Director and HR Director / representative in Singapore.
- Contribute to the HR budget planning and control processes.
Part C: Qualifications & Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Etc)
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full-spectrum HR role, preferably in a multi-national or start-up environment.
- Experience in manufacturing and/ or agriculture industry will be an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of Senegal labor laws, regulations, union relations and expats relocation administrative works.
- Proven experience in recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and HR policy development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both English and French.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work in a new market.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
