Job Description

Introduction:

An established education institution is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join its team. The organisation is recognised as a forward-looking education provider in the region and is committed to delivering quality education through a student-centric approach. Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the President and play a key role in overseeing and driving the organisation's human resource strategy, policies, and people initiatives.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, attendance, and employee records.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies and support hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Partner with Head of Department (HOD) to support workforce planning, talent development, retention, and succession planning.
  • Oversee learning and development initiatives that support employee growth.
  • Provide HR advisory support on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, absenteeism, and organisational change.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, organisational charts, and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with the Singapore Employment Act and regulations, staying updated on HR best practices and changes.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar HR role.
  • Proficient in the use of HRIS systems (e.g. Infotech).
  • Good knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and relevant labour regulations.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese, as the role involves liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders in a work-related context.
