Introduction:
An established education institution is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join its team. Key Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the President and play a key role in overseeing and driving the organisation's human resource strategy, policies, and people initiatives.
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits, attendance, and employee records.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies and support hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Partner with Head of Department (HOD) to support workforce planning, talent development, retention, and succession planning.
- Oversee learning and development initiatives that support employee growth.
- Provide HR advisory support on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary issues, grievances, absenteeism, and organisational change.
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, organisational charts, and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with the Singapore Employment Act and regulations, staying updated on HR best practices and changes.
- Manage performance appraisal processes.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar HR role.
- Proficient in the use of HRIS systems (e.g. Infotech).
- Good knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and relevant labour regulations.
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in English and Chinese, as the role involves liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders in a work-related context.
