HR Director - Singapore (APAC)
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with an innovative Technology company to find an exceptional HR Director based in Singapore. This is a strategic leadership role with regional responsibility across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Role
As the HR Director, you will be a strategic business partner driving people initiatives that enable business growth and foster a high-performance culture across APAC.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with business objectives across APAC
- Partner with senior leadership and business units to drive organizational effectiveness
- Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and change management initiatives
- Champion culture and employee engagement programs across diverse markets
Talent Management
- Design and execute talent management frameworks including succession planning and leadership development
- Drive performance management processes and continuous feedback culture
- Implement learning and development programs to build organizational capability
- Foster diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the region
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Oversee employee relations strategy and resolve complex people matters
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across all APAC markets
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with local requirements
- Manage industrial relations and union negotiations where applicable
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team across multiple countries
- Partner with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations)
- Drive HR transformation and digitalization initiatives
- Leverage HR analytics and metrics to drive data-driven decision making
- Manage HR budgets and vendor relationships
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- 12+ years of progressive HR experience, with minimum 5 years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record in the Technology sector or fast-paced, innovative environments
- Extensive experience managing HR across APAC markets with deep understanding of regional nuances
- Strong business acumen with ability to translate business strategy into HR initiatives
- Experience leading multi-country HR teams and building HR functions at scale
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with C-suite level exposure
- Strategic mindset balanced with hands-on execution capabilities
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Desired Attributes:
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or equivalent)
- Experience with HR transformation and technology implementation (HRIS, HCM systems)
- Track record in organizational development and change management
- Strong knowledge of compensation and benefits structures across APAC
- Experience in high-growth or scaling technology organizations
- Multilingual capabilities (English + additional APAC languages)
- Cultural intelligence and ability to navigate complex, matrixed environments
- Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions integration
