Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Tax Operations

  • Manage the end-to-end in-house payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Administer statutory payroll requirements, including tax deductions, social security contributions, and other mandatory filings.
  • Coordinate payroll approvals, salary payments, bonuses, incentives, and other employee compensation.
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate, confidential, and compliant with local legislation.
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll data and support month-end reporting.

Payroll Transformation

  • Lead the transition from an EOR-managed payroll model to an in-house payroll operation.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve payroll policies, workflows, and documentation.
  • Review existing payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure a smooth migration and knowledge transfer.

HR Operations

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding administration.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Manage employment contracts, payroll-related documentation, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Support HR operational processes and ensure compliance with company policies and local labour regulations.

Vendor & Compliance Management

  • Manage relationships with EOR providers, payroll vendors, and external service providers during the transition period.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, payroll regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and payroll regulations that may impact the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • With 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, or HR Shared Services.
  • Proven experience setting up and managing an in-house payroll function.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, employment tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience working with EOR providers and leading payroll transitions from outsourced to in-house operations.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and improve operational processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
