Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Tax Operations
- Manage the end-to-end in-house payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Administer statutory payroll requirements, including tax deductions, social security contributions, and other mandatory filings.
- Coordinate payroll approvals, salary payments, bonuses, incentives, and other employee compensation.
- Ensure payroll records are accurate, confidential, and compliant with local legislation.
- Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll data and support month-end reporting.
Payroll Transformation
- Lead the transition from an EOR-managed payroll model to an in-house payroll operation.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve payroll policies, workflows, and documentation.
- Review existing payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure a smooth migration and knowledge transfer.
HR Operations
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Manage employment contracts, payroll-related documentation, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Support HR operational processes and ensure compliance with company policies and local labour regulations.
Vendor & Compliance Management
- Manage relationships with EOR providers, payroll vendors, and external service providers during the transition period.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, payroll regulations, and tax requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and payroll regulations that may impact the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- With 3-5 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, or HR Shared Services.
- Proven experience setting up and managing an in-house payroll function.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, employment tax regulations, and statutory compliance.
- Experience working with EOR providers and leading payroll transitions from outsourced to in-house operations.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and improve operational processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
