About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support the full spectrum of HR functions for our Singapore and Malaysia Sales offices. This role is ideal for someone who can operate independently, handle multi-brand environments, and take ownership of daytoday HR operations across two countries.
This position primarily focuses on HR operations and payroll, with low-volume recruitment responsibilities when hiring needs arise.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee full HR operations for Singapore and Malaysia.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, internal movement, and offboarding.
- Maintain employee records, HRIS updates, and ensure data accuracy (SuccessFactors experience preferred).
- Prepare monthly HR metrics, manpower reports, and compliance documentation.
2. Payroll & Benefits Administration (In-House)
- Process in-house payroll for Singapore and Malaysia accurately and on time.
- Handle statutory submissions (CPF, IRAS, SOCSO, EPF, PCB, EIS).
- Administer employee benefits: leave, medical, insurance, and claims management.
- Support annual insurance review and benefits renewal activities.
3. Talent Acquisition (Low Volume)
- Support recruitment across multiple brands when required.
- Manage job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and reference checks.
- Prepare offer letters and support hiring managers through the recruitment process.
- Maintain candidate database and basic recruitment records.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide first-line HR advisory to employees and supervisors.
- Assist with handling employee relations matters professionally and confidentially.
- Support planning and execution of engagement events, wellness initiatives, and L&D activities.
5. Performance Management & Learning
- Support performance appraisal and goal-setting processes.
- Support global and regional training initiatives for Singapore and Malaysia.
6. HR Compliance & Policies
- Ensure HR practices follow Singapore Employment Act and Malaysia Employment Act.
- Manage work pass applications and renewals (EP, S Pass, DP).
- Support internal audits, HR policy updates, and compliance reviews.
- Maintain organised HR documentation and filing.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience, ideally across multiple brands or entities.
- Experience in in-house payroll administration is required.
- Strong understanding of Singapore employment laws Malaysia labour knowledge is an advantage.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with high attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office HRIS experience (SuccessFactors) is preferred.
