Job Summary:
The HR Generalist supports core HR operations across the employee lifecycle in a Singapore-based, publicly listed biotechnology company. This role focuses on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and people support as the company scales post-IPO across R&D, clinical, manufacturing, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Support end-to-end HR processes including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, and offboarding
- Prepare employment contracts, addenda, confirmation letters, and exit documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and personnel files
2. Payroll, Leave & Benefits Administration
- Prepare monthly payroll inputs and liaise with external payroll vendors
- Administer leave, claims, insurance, and other employee benefits
- Support annual bonus payments and equity-related documentation (e.g. ESOP/RSU administration support)
3. Compliance & Regulatory Support (Post-IPO Focus)
- Support compliance with Singapore employment laws and MOM requirements
- Assist with HR documentation for internal audits, corporate governance, and regulatory reviews
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of employee and sensitive company information
4. Employee Relations & HR Support
- Serve as first point of contact for employee HR queries and basic employee relations matters
- Support disciplinary processes and grievance handling under guidance from HR Manager
- Assist managers with HR administrative matters and policy interpretation
5. Training & Learning Coordination
- Coordinate onboarding and mandatory training (e.g. workplace safety, code of conduct, data privacy)
- Track training completion and maintain records for audit and compliance purposes
- Support learning and development initiatives for early-career and technical staff
6. Culture, Engagement & HR Projects
- Support employee engagement activities and internal communications
- Assist with HR projects such as policy updates, HR system enhancements, and organizational reporting
- Support headcount reporting and HR data preparation for management and listed-company reporting needs
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years of HR operations, HR admin, or junior HR generalist experience
- Experience in biotech, pharma, healthcare, or other regulated industries is an advantage
- Basic understanding of Singapore Employment Act and HR best practices
- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Comfortable supporting multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information
- Exposure to payroll coordination and MOM submissions
- Experience supporting audits or listed-company reporting
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and Excel reporting
