Role Overview
As the sole HR officer in the firm, you will manage the full spectrum of people operations while playing a key role in shaping culture and supporting organisational growth. This role would suit someone with a startup mentality - hands-on, adaptable, and excited to build structure in a fast-moving environment.
You will oversee day to day HR operations while contributing strategically to how CHP Law evolves as we scale.
What You Will Do
People Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Own end to end HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, probation, renewals, and employee records.
- Handle HR policies, leave administration, benefits, and contract preparation.
- Manage all HR queries and provide first line HR support for lawyers and staff.
Payroll & Compliance
- Oversee monthly payroll processing and coordination with finance.
- Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, legal requirements, CPF, IRAS, and firm policies.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation.
Talent Acquisition
- Support full cycle recruiting across legal, paralegal, and corporate roles.
- Coordinate job postings, sourcing, interviews, assessments, and offer processes.
- Build talent pipelines and strengthen employer branding.
Culture & Engagement
- Lead initiatives that strengthen culture, belonging, and employee experience.
- Organise firm socials, townhalls, celebrations, and community activities.
- Partner with leadership on culture-building rituals and communication.
Office Experience
- Manage office engagement activities, milestone celebrations, and day to day employee touchpoints.
- Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure a smooth office environment.
Strategic HR & Growth Initiatives
- Partner directly with equity partners on HR policies, growth plans, and people strategy.
- Support organisational design, capability building, and performance discussions.
- Recommend improvements to systems, processes, and HR tools as the firm scales.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on HR generalist experience handling end to end HR.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in fast paced, high growth environments startup exposure is a plus.
- Comfortable managing both operations and strategic tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and judgment when handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and maintain confidentiality.
