Job Description

Primary Objectives of Position

  • Drive and support talent acquisition, employer branding, and internship strategies to attract and retain talent aligned with organizational goals.
  • Strengthen partnerships with IHLs and external stakeholders, enhance digital and media recruitment efforts, and ensure compliance with HR audits, guidelines, and financial controls.

Major Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Attraction (TAA)

  • Collaborate with Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) — including ITEs, Polytechnics, and local Universities — on initiatives such as internships, campus recruitment, career talks, and learning journeys.
  • Drive talent attraction efforts through programmes such as the Land Transport Engineer Programme (LTEP), public transport branding campaigns, and mentorship initiatives.
  • Manage SBS Transit's social media presence, including content development for recruitment-focused EDMs, TikTok videos, and banner designs.
  • Support ongoing employer branding efforts, including submissions for HR awards, TAFEP-related initiatives, and internal HR audits.
  • Coordinate participation in community job fairs with partners such as WSG, e2i, and the Home Team.
  • Contribute to recruitment process improvements by updating key hiring documentation (e.g. LOEs, employee handbooks, and employment terms) to align with MOM and TAFEP guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for audit and recruitment-related claims.
  • Design and create recruitment EDMs and visual materials for talent outreach.
  • Support and co-host the annual Hackathon event in collaboration with local universities.

Diversity & Inclusion (DEI)

  • Assist in the implementation of company-wide DEI initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive workplace.
  • Help streamline recruitment processes to support diverse hiring and enhance talent retention.
  • Support the implementation of diversity awareness initiatives, including the Enabling Pathway Programme, inclusive hiring efforts, and related training programmes, to promote inclusive practices across the organisation.

Digitalisation

  • Contribute to HR digitalisation initiatives, including e-induction, the employee referral system, HR SharePoint and Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) frameworks.
  • Support the integration of AI tools into recruitment activities (e.g. chatbots, dashboards) to enhance hiring efficiency and candidate experience.

Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong working relationships with department heads to support talent acquisition and branding initiatives such as learning journeys, Land Transport Enthusiast Programme (LTEP) activities, photoshoots, and social media content creation.
  • Coordinate and manage internship placements for SBST divisions.
  • Foster partnerships with external stakeholders — including IHLs, WSG, and e2i for career talks, learning journeys, internships, and recruitment events.
  • Engage with regulatory and industry bodies (e.g. LTA, MOE) on employer branding and youth mentorship initiatives.
  • Collaborate with WSG, e2i, and other partners on media outreach, community job fairs, and Career Conversion Programmes.

Specific Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure recruitment and internship processes comply with regulatory requirements (MOM, TAFEP), and maintain data accuracy and accountability in audits and financial claims.

Job Dimensions

Financial Accountability

  • Assist in managing recruitment branding budget, including quote requests.
  • Support research for the annual Graduate Employment Survey (GES).
  • Assist with internship placements and ensure intern headcount aligns with budget.
  • Track and support claims related to funding matters.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and accurate cross-charging across entities.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resource or Business Management discipline
  • IHRP certification preferred

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with a focus on talent acquisition and media marketing.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to interact well with all levels

  • Able to adapt well in a fast-paced environment
