HR Business Partner (Insurer) - AVP / Senior AVP
Purpose
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a generalist responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within designated business units. This role acts as a consultant to the business on all human resource-related matters.
Key Accountabilities
- Talent Acquisition:
Ensure timely hiring for roles within the organisation and support workforce planning initiatives. - Onboarding & Offboarding:
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including driving process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and productivity. - HR Initiatives Support:
Support business units in HR initiatives such as performance management, talent management, and employee development. - Training & Development:
Source and manage training programs (including government-funded training), track participation data, and oversee related expenses and reimbursement claims. Conduct HR-related training sessions as required. - Orientation Program:
Lead quarterly new joiner orientation sessions. - Graduate & Internship Programs:
Manage internship and Digital Graduate programs, including recruitment, university partnerships, and rotation planning. - Workforce Planning & Advisory:
Provide guidance on workforce planning, business restructuring, and succession planning, ensuring HR processes are applied appropriately and in compliance with regulations. - Compliance & Risk Management:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements (internal and external), ensuring compliance while minimizing legal risks and supporting employee satisfaction and retention. - HR Projects & Initiatives:
Drive and implement HR initiatives in collaboration with Group Office HR (e.g., wellbeing, diversity, engagement, recognition programs, and talent reviews). - Policy Development:
Develop and review HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in HR business partnering and/or talent acquisition
- Strong knowledge of Ministry of Manpower regulations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in HRIS systems, particularly Workday
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse HR data
- Digitally savvy, especially with video conferencing tools
- Highly collaborative team player

- Independent, confident, and self-motivated
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to engage stakeholders at all levels
