With over 300 MW of operating assets and 1 GW of projects in development, our portfolio spans Japan, Korea, Australia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. With activities encompassing the full range of renewable energy business models - including utility-scale development, off-site PPAs, onsite PPAs, and energy storage applications - Peak Energy is a one-stop partner for corporates seeking to decarbonize their operations in APAC. We believe in establishing long-term partnerships with our corporate customers, to accompany them in their decarbonization journey, through cleaner, cheaper energy. Peak Energy is wholly owned by Stonepeak, a leading alternative investment firm specializing in infrastructure and real assets with approximatively USD 84 billion of assets under management.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and high‑performing Strategy Manager to join our Strategy & Corporate Development team. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping Peak Energy's strategic direction, supporting major investment decisions, and partnering closely with senior leadership across multiple markets.

The Strategy Manager will lead critical workstreams, manage interns or associates, contribute to Peak's medium‑term strategy, and support corporate development and capital‑related initiatives across Asia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning and Market intelligence

  • Lead the development of Peak Energy's medium‑term business plan, portfolio strategy, and strategic priorities across markets.
  • Build and maintain a data‑driven market intelligence capability to support strategic decision‑making across the organization.
  • Own market, policy, regulatory, and competitive intelligence across multiple geographies.
  • Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partner with regional teams to assess market attractiveness, entry strategies, and growth opportunities.

2. Growth Capital & Investor insights

  • Analyze investor trends, capital flows, and transaction activity across renewable energy and infrastructure markets.
  • Generate forward‑looking intelligence on funding structures, risk appetite, and cost of capital.
  • Engage with investors, lenders, advisors, and other market participants to maintain a strong understanding of market dynamics.
  • Translate market engagement into strategic insights to inform capital strategy and deployment decisions.
  • Prepare high‑quality capital‑related materials, including investment narratives, strategy decks, and briefing papers.

3. Investment Decision Support & Corporate Development

  • Support Investment Committee (IC) processes, including commercial evaluation, risk analysis, and structuring of materials for investment approvals.
  • Review and challenge financial models, stress‑test assumptions, and ensure consistency with Peak Energy's investment framework.
  • Support M&A, partnerships, joint ventures, and other corporate development initiatives, from initial assessment through execution.
  • Contribute strategic perspectives to investment theses and transaction structuring discussions.

4. Investor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Prepare high‑quality IC materials, Board summaries, and investor‑facing presentations.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with shareholders, ensuring timely sharing of updates and key information.
  • Project manage the preparation and delivery of quarterly reports to shareholders and associated financial models, ensuring accuracy and on‑time contributions from all teams.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of quarterly Board of Director meetings, including materials, briefings, and follow‑ups.
  • Ensure key communications and decisions are clearly conveyed to internal teams in a structured and effective manner.

5. Organisational & Operational Improvement

  • Identify and implement process, reporting, and organisational improvements to enhance decision‑making quality and speed.
  • Support the CEO, COO, and senior leadership with ad hoc strategic analysis and problem‑solving.
  • Establish best‑practice frameworks, processes, and templates across strategy, planning, and investment activities.
  • Assess the organisation's requirements for artificial intelligence and advanced analytics, and develop a roadmap for adoption, integration, and value creation.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives focused on sales excellence, operational efficiency, and cross‑functional collaboration to unlock growth opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, infrastructure project finance, or a high‑growth operating environment.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic projects end to end and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including:

  • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills ability to independently structure and solve complex problems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint experience with Power BI or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Passion for the energy transition and strong interest in renewables, energy storage, and infrastructure.

What We Offer
