Under the general direction of the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper, provides supportive functional assistance to all departments interact with guests and members of the community. They will also coordinate with all other departments within the hotel.
This job is the third top Housekeeping Managerial Role at a full-service hotel or at a regional extended-stay hotel. Typically supervises operations under housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring proper cleanliness of our room, public areas, furnishing, rooms to meet guest satisfaction.
Acts on behalf of the Executive Housekeeper/ Assistant Executive Housekeeper in his/her absence.
Assists in preparing housekeeping budget.
Assist in monitoring and control departmental costs
Directs the work assignments of the supervisory and non-supervisory personnel
Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure that guests receive prompt and courteous service.
Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure that rooms-especially those of known repeat guests and other VIP's-receive proper attention.
Informs other departments of housekeeping matters that concern them, particularly Engineering Department, Front Office and F & B department.
Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
Assists the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper in personnel matters such as interviewing, evaluating, and counselling.
Identifies training needs and assists in developing and implementing training sessions.
Maintains open channels of communication with the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the Housekeeping Department.
Assist in monitor and control housekeeping tasks-such as lost and found, key control, security
Manage the quality of the housekeeping and laundry services. Schedule routine inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, rooms, equipment, linens, public restrooms, lobby, etc. are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
Carry out the special needs and requests of guests, VIPs, repeat visitors and club members.
Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

Monitors Housekeeping personnel to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service
Monitor Housekeeping personnel to ensure rooms, and particularly those of priority members, known repeat guests and other VIP's receive special attention
Informs other operating departments of housekeeping matters, which concern notably the Front Office, to ensure accurate room status, in addition to communicating with Engineering and the Laundry
Schedules routine inspections by supervisors, of all housekeeping areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms
Inspects guest rooms in all housekeeping areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurbished as required
Appraise appearance, discipline and efficiency of all staff under direct supervision and initiate immediate remedial action if necessary
Follows up on progress of agenda items covered in regular meetings
Ensures Housekeeping personnel are familiar with in house facilities for the purpose of assisting guests
Maintains a steady flow of communication to the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the Housekeeping Department
Supervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance
Ensures that consumption of guest supplies is under control
Assists in monitoring and controlling housekeeping procedures including lost and found, key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and guests
Works with the Executive Housekeeper on routine cleaning programs including spring cleans, etc
