Job Description
The Horticulturist will be responsible for the planning, planting, and maintenance of plants and green spaces, ensuring they meet aesthetic, environmental, and safety standards. You will apply horticultural best practices and ensure all work complies with WSH guidelines and WSQ standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant Care: Perform propagation, planting, pruning, fertilization, and pest/disease management.
- Design Support: Assist in landscape design and plant selection for various projects.
- WSH Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and risk assessments as per WSH guidelines.
- WSQ Standards: Apply WSQ-certified horticultural techniques and best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain records of plant health, treatments, and maintenance activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with landscape teams and management to achieve project goals.
Job Requirements:
- Qualifications: Diploma/Certificate in Horticulture, Botany, or related field.
- Certification: WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations or Horticulture preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in horticulture, preferably in Singapore's landscape industry.
- WSH Knowledge: Familiarity with local WSH guidelines and safe work practices.
- Skills: Strong plant identification and care skills ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
