Job Summary:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as department head for department build up and management for all ICSS related engineering activities for offshore projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the activities related to engineering disciplines are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You shall demonstrate your expertise for team management, applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts into project execution for better project outcomes and to drive continuous improvements.
Your duty covers the design, development for control systems for industrial processes. The role ensures systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
. Department team build and management works.
Lead the ICSS engineering scope across all project phases - FEED, basic engineering, detailed engineering, FAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning and SAT.
Act as subject matter expert for all automation systems including - DCS, ESD, F&G and co-ordinate with teams.
. Design and develop instrumentation and control systems for industrial facilities.
. Review and interpret and comment on P&IDs, control philosophies, and engineering drawings.
. Review, comment and approve instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and cable schedules.
. Develop and review, comment and approve PLC, DCS, and SCADA control logic.
. Support installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems and control systems
. Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and control system issues on site.
. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
. Coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders.
. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team.
. Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and schedule management. Requirements
. Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation and/or electrical control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
. Minimum 15 years of experience in instrumentation and process control systems and industrial automation control engineering. prefably with FPSO engineering design expereiences.
. Strong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA systems.
. Familiarity with engineering standards such as ISA, IEC, and relevant safety standards.
. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
. Good communication in both english and chinese and teamwork abilities.
