Role Purpose
To establish, scale, and lead the Sports Academy as an independent business vertical in partnership with a premium sports academy, while ensuring strong integration within the Global Schools Group ecosystem.
The role carries full ownership of P&L, operations, growth strategy, partnerships, and overall performance of the academy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & P&L Ownership
- Own and manage the complete P&L for the Sports Academy vertical
- Drive revenue across multiple streams including:
- School programs
- External enrolments
- Camps and leagues
- Tournaments and partnerships
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, pricing strategies, and growth targets
- Track financial performance, manage cost structures, and ensure sustained profitability
- Serve as the single point of contact for the premium sports academy partner
- Manage contracts, SLAs, governance mechanisms, and performance reviews
2. Channel Partnerships & Strategic Alliances
- Identify, develop, and scale channel partnerships to drive enrolments and revenue (corporates, sports federations, clubs, community centers, institutions, etc.)
- Build alliances for talent sourcing, sponsorships, tournaments, leagues, and camps
- Structure and implement revenue-sharing and collaboration models
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to activate partner-led initiatives
- Monitor partner performance and track ROI against defined metrics
3. Operations & Program Delivery
- Oversee day-to-day academy operations across all locations/schools
- Ensure consistent coaching quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Establish SOPs covering training methodology, scheduling, facilities, and equipment management
- Coordinate with school leadership teams to align sports programs with academic calendars and infrastructure
4. Growth & Expansion
- Identify opportunities to expand into new schools, cities, and sports disciplines
- Conceptualize and launch new offerings such as elite training programs, talent pathways, leagues, and competitions
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions teams to drive enrolments and brand visibility
- Develop scalable systems and processes to support multi-location growth
5. Brand & Stakeholder Management
- Position the academy as a premium sports offering within and beyond the school ecosystem
- Build strong engagement with parents, students, school leaders, and external stakeholders
- Represent the academy at industry events, tournaments, and sports forums
- Drive brand visibility, credibility, and community presence
Key Requirements
Experience
- 1215 years of experience in sports management, education, consumer services, or related sectors
- Proven experience leading a business unit or vertical with full P&L responsibility
- Exposure to sports academies, high-performance training environments, or youth sports programs is highly desirable
- Experience managing partnerships, franchises, or third-party operators preferred

Education
- Degree in Science or Commerce or Sports Management
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred (not mandatory)
