The Head of Sales will lead the Asia-based commercial hub for green coffee trading, with full responsibility for driving regional sales strategy, market expansion, and trading performance across Asia Hub entities. Based in Singapore, the role acts as a central link between origin countries (Latin America, Africa) and key demand markets in Asia, ensuring optimal positioning, pricing, and distributionof green coffee beans.
The role is responsible forensuring optimal sourcing integration, market positioning, pricing strategy, and distribution of green coffee, while maximising margins and managing commercial risk in a dynamic global commodities environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the regional sales and trading strategy for green coffee beans across the Asia Hub.
- Establish, grow, and strengthen the Company's presence in key markets including Singapore, China, South Korea, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
- Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with roasters, importers, distributors, and institutional buyers across the region.
- Act as a trusted commercial partner to clients by providing insights on market trends, price risk management, and supply chain developments.
- Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing structures, forward contracts, and long-term supply agreements.
- Collaborate closely with origin and sourcing teams to ensure effective supply alignment, inventory management, and margin optimisation.
- Monitor and respond proactively to global coffee market dynamics, including price movements, supply conditions, and logistics developments.
- Oversee contract execution to ensure alignment between sales commitments, shipment schedules, and inventory availability.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable trading and sales strategies to optimise margins and mitigate commercial and market risks.
- Partner closely with logistics, finance, risk, and quality control teams to ensure seamless execution of sales contracts and timely shipments.
- Oversee inventory planning and stock rotation strategies to optimise working capital efficiency and minimise price and quality exposure.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, trade regulations, and sustainability standards across all markets.
- Provide regular and accurate reporting to senior management on sales performance, market developments, risks, and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to regional business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.
