Head of Frontend Development

Job Description

The Head of Frontend Development will lead the frontend engineering function responsible for delivering high-performance user interfaces for the company's trading platforms. The role will oversee frontend architecture, engineering standards, and team development while contributing to hands-on technical leadership.

This role works closely with engineering leadership, product teams and executive stakeholders to support the development and growth of the company's FX trading technology platforms.
Responsibility
. Define and implement the frontend technology strategy aligned with business objectives

. Lead and grow the frontend engineering team including recruitment, mentoring and performance management

. Drive architectural decisions impacting frontend platforms and broader engineering systems

. Maintain high development standards across frontend frameworks and codebase quality

. Collaborate with engineering managers and product teams to deliver high quality platform features

. Ensure strong application security and development best practices

. Establish KPIs and operational processes for frontend engineering delivery

. Review product designs to ensure strong user experience and performance

. Monitor emerging frontend technologies and adopt relevant innovations

. Support production systems, troubleshoot issues and contribute to platform improvements
Requirements

. Minimum 8 years of software development experience, including frontend engineering
. Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership or management experience
. Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript
. Experience building applications using React or similar modern frontend frameworks
. Experience with REST APIs and WebSocket technologies
. Experience with desktop container frameworks such as Electron, OpenFin or Tauri
. Strong understanding of frontend architecture and browser technologies
. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
. Excellent communication and leadership skills
