Role DescriptionThe Head of Finance is a senior executive responsible for managing the organization's financial strategy, planning, and operations. This role oversees accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while partnering with executive leadership to support business growth and strategic decision-making. The Head of Finance ensures financial stability, governance, and efficiency across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the organization's financial strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Manage accounting, treasury, payroll, and financial operations.
- Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and cash flow to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
- Provide strategic insights, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team and Board.
- Lead financial audits, risk management, and internal control processes.
- Manage finance team, fostering development, performance, and accountability.
- Collaborate with business units to evaluate investment opportunities, cost efficiencies, and profitability.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience in senior finance roles such as Finance Manager, Finance Director, or Head of Finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting standards, and corporate finance.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience with ERP/financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to lead and mentor finance teams effectively.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, taxation, and risk management.
