The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and ensuring robust financial controls and reporting processes. Reporting directly to the SVP Corporate Finance and the CEO Singapore this role is critical in maintaining the financial integrity and regulatory compliance of the Singapore regulated entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for i) regular management reporting (including the preparation of reports and evaluation of financial data for the CEO and board of the Singapore regulated entity ii) statutory reporting for Singapore regulated entity (including maintaining accurate and efficient Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flows for the Singapore Regulated Entity) and iii) MAS financial reporting.
- Accountable for ensuring proper reconciliation, segregation and settlement processes for Customer and Merchant funds (supported by the Payments & Payment Partners Manager) including that the balance of the respective Singapore Regulated Entity's customer funds held in segregated accounts is at all times in accordance with applicable law and regulation.
- Accountable for ensuring adequate controls are in place and followed in respect of all payments to or from the Singapore Regulated Entity.
- Accountable for the:
- Wallet business outsourced finance operations in respect of the Finance and Treasury services
- Holding the relationships with Singapore banks, supported by the Banking Team (and being the ultimate account approval authority for those accounts).
- Following the Group policies and procedures, establishing financial controls over processes, relative to above functions and accountabilities.
- Deliver external and internal reporting, budgeting and reforecasting in line with internal deadlines whilst maintaining the integrity of information.
- Review, assess and recommend improvements to internal control systems, processes, controls and procedures ensuring appropriate documentation in place.
- Drive process and systems efficiencies in all areas of responsibility. Review and critically assess current systems in order to assess and recommend ways to achieve maximum optimization.
- As relevant, ensuring responsibility for good customer outcomes is understood and owned across the business. Demonstrating commitment to delivering good customer outcomes and that developments with the Singapore regulated entity are designed to deliver good customer outcomes.
Key Capabilities
- CA, ACCA or CIMA accreditation with significant payments/financial services experience
- Strong understanding of financial controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Experience with MAS financial reporting and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in managing reconciliations and segregated fund processes.
- Ability to drive process and systems efficiencies.
