Lead the structuring and execution of trade finance instruments including Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, Bank Guarantees, and Documentary Collections.
Design financing solutions tailored to complex oil & gas trading flows across multiple jurisdictions.
Oversee trade finance documentation and ensure compliance with international standards and internal controls.
Cultivate and manage relationships with global and regional banks to secure competitive financing terms and adequate credit lines.
Act as the primary liaison between the company and financial institutions for all trade finance matters.
Collaborate with trading, operations, and treasury teams to align financing strategies with commercial objectives.
Monitor counterparty credit exposure and ensure robust risk mitigation practices.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements including AML, KYC, and sanctions.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to assess and manage contractual and operational risks.
Lead and mentor a team of trade finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Provide regular reporting on trade finance utilization, cost efficiency, and risk metrics to senior management.
Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and emerging financing structures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in trade finance, with a strong track record in commodity or energy trading, or banking trade finance operations.
Deep understanding of trade finance instruments, banking operations, and commodity trading flows.
Strong knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, Incoterms, and other trade-related standards.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in trade finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and documentation platforms.
