The Head of Communications, Products and Partnerships, APAC leads Meta's regional product and corporate communications strategy across the Asia-Pacific region. This leadership role is responsible for shaping how Meta's family of products - including Instagram, Threads, Facebook, Edits, and Meta AI - are positioned and perceived across 10+ APAC markets.
The role sets the strategic direction for product communications in the region, champions APAC's voice within the international communications organisation, and leads a central team that works at the intersection of product, partnerships, policy, and brand. Working in close partnership with the Head of Policy Communications, this leader shapes the regional narrative across Meta's key strategic pillars: AI leadership, youth engagement, and business integrity, while driving AI adoption and innovation within the international communications organisation.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Regional Communications Strategy - Define and drive the APAC product and business communications strategy in alignment with Meta's global priorities and company Must Wins (AI, Youth)
- Lead annual and half-year planning cycles, translating global goals into actionable regional work streams
- Proactively identify emerging opportunities, risks, and narratives across APAC markets and advise leadership accordingly
- Product Communications & Campaigns - Lead product, business, and cross-platform communications, including product launches, feature rollouts, and campaign execution across APAC markets
- Lead campaign strategy and execution for priority initiatives, including teen/young adult engagement programs
- Localise global communications campaigns for APAC markets, leveraging regional expertise for maximum impact
- Design and launch pilot programs that test new communications approaches (e.g., creator initiatives, market-specific pilots) and coordinate multi-market activations at key moments
- Manage complex product issues and crisis communications, including proactive risk identification and reactive response strategies
- Team Leadership & Development - Lead and develop the APAC Central Product & Business Communications team (4 direct reports), fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative environment
- Scope roles for maximum impact, mentor team members, drive succession planning, and champion team integration across functions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Partnerships - Serve as the primary cross-functional point of contact for product communications in APAC, collaborating with 30+ stakeholders across policy, partnerships, marketing, and country teams
- Lead integration of the Communications Metrics Team (CMT) and Content Studio work streams in APAC, including regional social strategy and global content representation goals
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with media, creators, and industry partners across the region
- Operations, Budget & Measurement - Manage the centralised APAC communications budget (US$1.1M), including forecasting, campaign allocation, and third-party agency/vendor management
- Drive data-driven decision-making through campaign metrics and tracking dashboards, providing insights to inform resource prioritisation
Minimum Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields, with a significant portion in technology or digital platforms
- Proven experience leading regional or multi-market communications strategies in Asia-Pacific
- Track record of managing and developing successful communications teams
- Expertise in product communications, including campaign development, media relations, and crisis/issues management
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and third-party agencies
- Demonstrated understanding of the APAC media landscape across multiple markets
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills to influence across a complex, matrixed global organisation
- Proven communication and storytelling skills with a track record of crafting compelling narratives for a variety of audiences across multiple markets

- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
