Job Description
Oversee day-to-day operations of Clarity's clinical services
. Monitor day-to-day delivery of Clarity's core services (e.g. psychotherapy/counselling, ethical and professional clinical practice)
. Prompt identification and resolution/management of lapses in and/or threats to the smooth running of Clarity's core services
. Ensure the team's compliance with organizational processes and KPIs
. Provide clinical consultations to non-clinical teams, in their work to support the day-to-day functioning of the Intervention team
. Service recovery, in the event of complaints/disputes relating to clinical ruptures in therapeutic relationships with clients
. Advocate for ethical and professional clinical practice within Clarity
Staff management
. Manpower and resource allocation to support clinical and operational needs of Clarity
. Manage morale, motivation, and wellbeing of the Intervention Team
. Conduct performance appraisals, and manage work performance of the Intervention Team
. Participate in, and/or inform, the hiring process of new/additional clinical staff
Policy-making
. Identify gaps in current clinical processes, and identify ways to manage/resolve these gaps
. Where the policies and processes of non-clinical teams compete with the needs/requirements of the Intervention team, the Head of Clinical Services will work with the relevant stakeholders to reach a suitable resolution
Management of external stakeholders
. Build and maintain working relationships with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external (e.g. peers, institutes of higher learning, grantors, affiliated agencies/organizations)
. Advocate for Clarity's strategic interests while conducting these professional relationships
Provision of professional development to colleagues with and without clinical training
. Provide clinical supervision
. Provide supervision-of-supervision
. Develop and conduct trainings on clinical topics, relevant to the operations and strategic interests of Clarity Singapore
. Provide case consultations for complex/challenging clinical cases, or cases presenting with ethical dilemmas
Provision of psychotherapy
. Provide professional, ethical, and evidence-based interventions for clients presenting with mental health difficulties
Requirements
. Masters in Clinical Psychology from a reputable post-graduate programme
. SRP-registered psychologist (or professional registration with any other reputable professional body e.g. APA, BPS, AHPRA)
. Minimum 7 years experience of clinical practice, after graduation from Masters programme
. Minimum 2 years of clinical supervision experience, with relevant training clinical supervision
#SRP-registered clinical supervisors, and/or applicants with past experience conducting small-group teaching sessions will be preferred
. Minimum 2 years experience in a leadership position
#Past experience as a manager or reporting officer will be preferred
. Motivated and able to work independently
. Able to work adaptively in a team
. Demonstrates cultural-sensitivity
While a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology is preferred, exceptional applicants with Masters degrees in Applied Psychology or Counselling may also be considered, should they
1) Meet similar/equivalent requirements as outlined above, and
2) Demonstrate clinical knowledge, ability, and experience, to meet the demands of the role
Salary with commensurate with experience.
