Team Summary

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's client-facing advisory division, serving Visa's clients across a range of strategic topics. This role will serve Visa's clients in SEA, leading teams to design client-specific strategies, build new solutions & thought leadership and advance the thinking & execution in the Acquirer domain.

What a Director, Head of Acquirer Advisory Practice (SEA) does at Visa:

  • Build thought leadership: Identify & track key trends in merchant acquiring while establishing credibility for Visa as an advisor to stakeholders involved in merchant acquiring.
  • Drive business development: Partner with Visa teams to identify priority clients for go-to-market, pitching solutions to said clients and driving conversion of key prospects
  • Execute project delivery: Selectively oversee and execute (as needed) key projects, holding the bar high tangible client outcomes
  • Build solutions that drive real outcomes: Define advisory solutions that will solve acquirers biggest pain points and drive business value for all stakeholders
  • Grow a community of experts: Attract high-performing talent to build the Acquirer practice, influencing hiring of talent and developing a community of Acquirer experts across SEA

Qualifications

  • 12 to 15+ years hands-on experience in merchant acquiring within Southeast Asia, with a strong track record in building, operating, and scaling acquiring businesses across regional markets.
  • A consulting background or strong consulting skillset, with the ability to structure complex problems, generate data-driven insights, and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong executive presence and a track record of managing senior client relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in working on business/value cases which prove ROI
  • Proven ability to drive innovation and lead changes in top-tier companies
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%), with flexibility to support client engagements and projects across Southeast Asia.
