Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Transportation Manager to oversee and optimize our global logistics and transportation operations. Based in Singapore, you will manage end-to-end transportation processes, ensure compliance with international regulations, and drive cost-efficient and timely delivery across regions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement global transportation strategies to optimize efficiency, cost, and service levels.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and logistics partners worldwide.
- Oversee international shipping, customs compliance, and import/export processes.
- Monitor transportation KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth global logistics operations.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and negotiations with transportation vendors.
- Identify risks in the transportation network and develop mitigation plans.
- Drive adoption of transportation management systems (TMS) and digital tools to enhance visibility and performance.
- Ensure compliance with local and international transportation regulations, trade laws, and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor the transportation team to build a high-performance global function.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in global transportation or logistics management.
- Strong knowledge of international freight, customs regulations, and global shipping practices.
- Proven experience managing transportation vendors and contracts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Familiarity with TMS, ERP systems, and logistics technology.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience in Singapore/SEA logistics and trade regulations is preferred.
