Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts in Japan and Singapore, ensuring seamless communication in both English and Japanese
Build and maintain high-level relationships with key personnel within customer organizations to ensure long-term partnership
Conduct regular performance reviews and meetings to gauge satisfaction and identify opportunities for business expansion within existing accounts
Serve as the official company representative at client Management Review meetings
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to develop proactive retention strategies and identify new lead-generation opportunities
Provide Japanese Management with actionable market insights and regular updates on potential business prospects
Oversee daily operations across the Transport, Warehouse, Marine, and Bunker departments to ensure service excellence
Prepare and deliver comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual business reports to HQ in Japan
Manage the end-to-end credit application process for new accounts, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed in both languages
Collaborate with Department Managers and Japanese Management to develop competitive service proposals and pricing structures prior to client submission
Partner with Operations, Admin, and Managers to resolve client grievances and optimize internal processes based on customer feedback
Preside as the Safety Committee Chairman, leading all safety-related initiatives and committee meetings
Maintain a direct line of communication with Japanese Management regarding daily operational issues and critical updates
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 8 years of experience in Logistics, Shipping, or Supply Chain Management (specifically within Transport, Warehouse, or Marine operations)
At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role, with proven experience managing cross-functional departments
Professional fluency in both Japanese and English
Strong understanding of business etiquette and corporate culture in both Singapore and Japan
Proficiency in financial reporting, credit application management, and market data analysis
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field
