Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:Lead and manage operations, develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Operations Management: Ensuring smooth operations and efficient processes and monitor performance metrics and resolve any issues related to operations.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage the logistics budget, optimize costs, and identify cost-saving initiatives without compromising on service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and operational targets.
  • Optimization: Analyse and improve performance through process optimization, automation, and effective resource utilization. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and lead team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of high performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Ensure that operations comply with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies. Stay updated on industry trends and government regulations.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data-driven insights to track performance and make informed decisions.
  • Conducting performance metrics analysis and setting performance goals.
  • Developing risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or senior management role.
  • Experience in international logistics and/or project management is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, in-depth knowledge of logistics software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in budget management and cost control.
  • Proficient in bilingual languages (able to speak and write English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates for work purposes).
