Functional Business Analyst (Banking, 9-month renewable contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, user stories and process designs.
• Coordinate requirements across business, design, technology, development and testing teams.
• Develop functional specifications, process documentation and detailed user stories.
• Manage requirements scope, risks, dependencies, changes and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assess operational impacts and support implementation and operational readiness planning.
• Support SIT/UAT preparation, including test case requirements, defect triage and requirement clarification.
• Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
• Support end-to-end project delivery across multiple project phases and stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain key project deliverables, including:

o User Stories

o Functional Specifications

o L2 Process Design and Documentation

o Operational Impact Assessments

o Detailed Test Cases

o Requirements Traceability and Change Management Documentation

Key Requirements

• 6-9 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst, preferably within digital banking, investments/equities trading, card payments or digital wallet provisioning.
• Strong experience across at least 6 full project delivery cycles.
• Strong Digital Banking experience is mandatory.
• Experience with card payments, preferably including digital wallet provisioning and payment solutions such as Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay, is preferred.
• Experience in card services, particularly payments, transaction authorisation and related card processing functions, is preferred.
• Wealth management experience, particularly equities trading, is an advantage.
• Able to independently:

o Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements.

o Develop user stories, process designs and functional specifications.

o Facilitate requirements gathering across business, design, technology and testing teams.

o Manage scope, risks, dependencies, changes and requirements traceability.

o Assess operational impact and support implementation readiness.

o Support SIT/UAT planning, defect triage and requirement clarification.

• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, communication and documentation skills.
• Prior experience working in Agile delivery environments is preferred.
• Regional banking project experience is preferred.
