Sunnystep is a science-led comfort footwear brand focused on helping people move better through products designed for the feet, knees, and back. We are building an AI-native company, where technology is embedded into retail, ecommerce, supply chain, customer service, and internal operations.
Role purpose
We are hiring a Full Stack AI Engineer to build the internal systems, automations, and AI tools that improve how Sunnystep operates. This role will work across product, data, workflows, dashboards, and integrations to turn manual processes into scalable systems.
Key responsibilities
- Build internal web tools, dashboards, and workflow systems
- Develop AI-powered automations and agent-based workflows
- Integrate key business systems such as Lark, ecommerce platforms, POS, CRM, ads platforms, spreadsheets, and inventory tools
- Build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support reporting and decision-making
- Improve system reliability, monitoring, debugging, and deployment processes
- Translate business problems into working technical solutions quickly
- Work closely with leadership and operating teams to improve execution speed and visibility
Requirements
- Strong full-stack engineering skills across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases
- Experience building and shipping production software
- Strong interest or experience in AI workflows, LLMs, automation, or agent systems
- Comfortable working with integrations, messy data, and real business operations
- Able to move fast with high ownership and limited hand-holding
- Strong problem-solving ability and practical judgment
Ideal background
- Experience with internal tools, workflow software, AI products, or automation systems
- Familiarity with modern web stacks, cloud deployment, and system monitoring
- Startup experience is a plus
- Experience working with retail, ecommerce, or operations workflows is a plus
