Description
This is one of the largest oil & gas companies in the world, involved in the production and global distribution of refined petroleum products. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fuel Oil Operator to join the trading operations team in Singapore.

Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fuel Oil Operator will work closely with traders to ensure the efficient execution of all cargo and shipping operations related to fuel oil. Responsibilities include timely and accurate communication of cargo nominations to terminals, shipowners, and counterparties, minimizing delays and ensuring alignment with contractual obligations. The role requires constant coordination with storage terminals and vessel operators to monitor loading and discharge operations, troubleshoot issues in real time, and ensure operations proceed according to plan. You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing operational clauses in contracts based on deal recaps, ensuring all terms are aligned and executable. A strong understanding of trade finance, including Letters of Credit (LCs), invoicing, and demurrage handling, is crucial. The position also involves maintaining up-to-date operational records in internal systems to support accurate reporting and compliance.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Maritime Studies, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years&apos experience in petroleum product operations-preferably with exposure to fuel oil or other heavy products. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of cargo operations, shipping logistics, blending (where relevant), and inventory management.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment is key to success in this role.
