Job Summary
You will lead and manage Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) initiatives to ensure compliance with MOM safety requirements, statutory regulations, and company policies, driving a safe work environment across all sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) matters to ensure safe operations across company sites
- Develop, maintain, and regularly review workplace safety and health policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards
- Conduct regular safety inspections to verify compliance with MOM safety requirements and company safety regulations
- Implement and enforce statutory acts, company safety rules, and codes of practice among all employees
- Support the implementation of WSH policies and procedures to promote workplace safety culture
- Update and review Risk Assessments and RA registers annually for all sites
- Serve as Fire Safety Manager, ensuring effective emergency response readiness and compliance with fire safety regulations
- Manage and monitor sub-contractors safety procedures to ensure adherence to company health and safety standards
- Prepare and deliver WSH Induction Programs for new employees and conduct periodic safety training for existing staff
- Maintain Fire Safety Manager (FSM), Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) licenses, and related certificates to ensure regulatory compliance
- Plan, coordinate, and assist in internal and external safety and health audits, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
- Ensure all safety-related equipment and facilities are properly maintained and functional
- Maintain compliance with SCDF Fire Safety Act and manage fire risk elimination to uphold SCDF Fire Certificate
- Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) drills and maintain emergency response equipment readiness
- Investigate, analyze, and determine causes of workplace incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences recommend preventive measures and prepare incident reports
- Prepare monthly safety and health reports to inform company leadership of safety performance
- Verify and promptly report any safety infringements or incidents to company management
Required competencies and certifications
- MOM Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with a minimum of 1 year registration
- Diploma in Environmental Health and Safety or related field
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and ISO documentation
- Singaporean Only
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Effective communication skills to deliver training and liaise with stakeholders
