Job Description

We're looking for a freelance creative to support end-to-end short-form content production, primarily for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

This role is suited for a creative who is confident working independently, has a strong sense of visual storytelling and pacing, and can translate brand direction into intentional, well-executed short-form content designed for today's platforms.

Your Role:

1. Content Creation
- Develop content ideas across a range of brands and industries
- Interpret trends with intention adapting them into brand-appropriate content rather than following them blindly
- Contribute to overall content direction for ongoing campaigns
- Work closely with our team to review content performance and refine based on insights and analytics

2. Filming
- Execute shoot days (typically 2-3 per month)
- Work with iPhone and simple lighting setups where appropriate
- Capture content efficiently on shoot days for batch editing

3. Editing
- Edit short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Apply considered pacing, captions, and transitions to enhance clarity and engagement
- Optimise content for performance, including watch time and retention

4. Content Awareness
- Stay updated with platform trends, emerging formats, and editing styles
- Understand what performs and most importantly, why

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience creating short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, ideally for brands rather than personal accounts
  • Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and editing, with an understanding of what holds attention in the first few seconds
  • Ability to interpret trends with discernment, and adapt them in ways that feel aligned with a brand's voice and positioning
  • Comfortable handling both filming and editing independently
  • A portfolio demonstrating clear thinking behind the work not just execution, but intent
  • Familiarity with lightweight production setups (iPhone, basic lighting, simple rigs)
  • Working knowledge of editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Detail-oriented and organised, able to manage timelines and deliver consistently
  • Comfortable working without step-by-step direction
  • Collaborative and open to feedback
  • Prior experience working with brands or agencies is a plus
  • Interest in branding, storytelling, and how content fits into a larger creative direction
