Job Scope
The services required are as follows:
- Prepare teaching resources for practical lessons and examinations (e.g. checking quality and quantity of ingredients/goods received, portioning, labelling, and packing ingredients).
- Maintain teaching resources in Food Lab 1, Food Lab 2, Prep Room, and Storerooms (e.g. housekeeping and cleaning of kitchen, mopping floors, cleaning ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, mixers, plates, bowls, cupboards, and drawers).
- Conduct stock-taking of teaching resources in Food Lab 1, Food Lab 2, Prep Room, and Storerooms (e.g. inventory of ingredients in food pantry and fridges).
- Assist teachers when required (e.g. video recording of cooking sessions, photographing for teaching and learning purposes, assisting students during practical lessons).
- Perform daily routines in the kitchens during term time (e.g. wiping teacher's table at the beginning and end of day, setting out ingredients 20 minutes before lessons, wiping down food labs at the end of the day).
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Nutrition & Food Science teachers and HOD Craft & Technology.
Requirements
- Completed Secondary 4 education.
- Able to read, write, and understand simple English.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in school food labs or other F&B environments.
- Basic First Aid knowledge and skills preferred.
Working Hours & Days
During School Term (34 hrs/week):
- Monday to Thursday: 8.30am - 4.30pm (8 hrs, inclusive of 1 hr unpaid lunch break)
- Friday: 8.30am - 3.30pm (7 hrs, inclusive of 1 hr unpaid lunch break)
- No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays
During School Holidays (4 hrs/day):
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 12.30pm (no lunch break included)
