Fire Protection System Engineer, primarily responsible for the on-site supervision, interface coordination, and execution support of fire protection systems for high-tech manufacturing facilities. Candidates with experience in high-tech facility construction are highly preferred, with strong knowledge of fire protection system design and installation, solid site management capability, effective integration of testing and commissioning schedules with construction progress, cross-disciplinary interface coordination, and familiarity with Singapore authority inspection and approval processes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site supervision and coordination for fire protection system installation works in semiconductor fabrication facilities.
- Supervise the installation of various fire protection systems, including associated equipment and piping, ensuring all works comply with approved drawings, relevant codes, and regulatory requirements
- Able to read and interpret fire protection drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documentation to support site execution and compliance.
- Coordinate with on-site interface teams to ensure fire protection systems are properly aligned with construction progress and equipment installation schedules.
- Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, Singapore codes, and Client fire safety requirements
- Support testing, commissioning, and system verification activities, including pre-testing, functional testing, and readiness for authority inspections.
- Coordinate and support fire safety inspections and audits with Clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Identify and report site issues related to workmanship, safety, design discrepancies, or system interfaces, and support corrective actions
- Participate in site inspections, system handovers, and coordination meetings with Clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of site experience in fire protection systems for semiconductor fabs, high-tech facilities, or industrial construction projects.
- Degree in Mechanical, Fire Engineeirng or Building Services
- Strong hands-on experience in on-site supervision of fire protection system installations.
- Familiar with Singapore fire safety requirements, codes, and authority inspection processes administered by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
- Knowledge of fire protection testing, commissioning, and authority inspection workflows is an advantage
- Able to work independently on site, and coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors, system vendors, and Clients.
- Good command of English, with the ability to communicate clearly in a construction site environment.
- Willing to work in a site-based and shift-based environment, as required by the project.
- WIlling to take on One Year Contract, with possible of renewal.
