In your function as Financial Controller for the ASMEA Region, you will report to the Region's Chief Financial Officer. This role operates with the senior leaders of the company to provide high quality and sound financial management and control as well as drive strategic insights and projects.
Key Responsibilities- Overall responsible for all aspects of day-to-day financial control and reporting for the region including but not limited to business budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, treasury management, risk evaluation and financial analysis. Furthermore, this position will drive strategic projects throughout the region. This will include:
- Preparation of budget, financial forecasts and monthly variance reporting. Proactive identification of issues and interventions
- Work with and provide senior management team with accurate and timely financial data and analysis on operations, projects, cost and risks
- Support in all countries or regional, statistical and/or statutory reporting, surveys or returns
- Work with global corporate functions and divisions to align on business strategy, strategic planning and projects for the region
- Project manage selected strategic projects throughout the region, e.g. shared service implementation, M&A
- Responsible for regional regulatory and compliance issues and establish proper governance and controls in line with TÜV SÜD'S directives and/or guidelines
- Responsible for the management, development and improvement of quality and effectiveness of financial information including internal financial control and reporting processes across the assigned region
- Key liaison with external agencies including statutory authorities, banks and auditors jointly with local finance functions.
Key Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in financial analysis or controlling with an international company preferably in professional services
- An MBA graduate with previous finance/controlling experience will be advantageous.
- Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Demonstrated good business judgment with strong financial analysis ability
- Rigorous, detailed oriented quantitative analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness and the ability to engage local finance organization and senior management in the countries
- Highly driven and willing to work hard with the benefit of a great learning experience
- Command of the German language is a significant plus
- Experience with SAP, business warehouse and any TUV SUD entity is a significant plus
