Partner closely with the Capital GM to negotiate, underwrite, and assess all credit applications, renewals, amendments, and other financing proposals.
Review credit proposals, analyse detailed financial and non-financial information, and prepare comprehensive credit papers for submission to the relevant credit authority.
Conduct dealer credit reviews in accordance with internal policies, including assessment of financial strength, operational performance, and overall risk profile.
Recommend appropriate credit limits, financing structures, approval conditions, security packages, and documentation requirements to support ongoing dealer relationships.
Perform periodic and ad hoc reviews of existing dealers to assess significant changes in credit quality, ownership structure, business profile, or collateral position, and determine the appropriate go-forward risk mitigation measures.
Monitor the credit portfolio independently and proactively identify early warning signals, deteriorating accounts, concentration risks, and emerging issues.
Undertake special reviews relating to permanent limit increases, temporary increases, overline requests, product additions, financial covenant triggers, and high-risk account monitoring.
Present credit requests and associated risks in a clear, concise, and well-reasoned manner, including recommendations on approval amount, transaction structure, and conditions precedent.
Support the development, enhancement, and implementation of credit policies, risk management frameworks, internal controls, and operating procedures.
Identify, assess, and monitor broader business risks, including operational, compliance, legal, cross-border, documentation, and process risks, and recommend practical mitigation measures.
Maintain and update risk registers, monitor key risk indicators, and escalate material issues, exceptions, and breaches to management in a timely manner.
Work closely with the Capital team and external consultants to strengthen governance standards, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and support internal risk reviews.
Participate in portfolio reviews, stress assessments, and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of adverse developments on customers, dealers, and the overall financing portfolio.
Collaborate with Sales Teams, Dealers, Consultants, and Customers to balance business growth objectives with prudent risk management standards.
Support internal audit, compliance review, policy implementation, and remediation follow-up where required.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Capital GM.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial lending, underwriting, credit risk analysis, financial analysis, or broader risk management.
Strong credit assessment and financial analysis skills, with the ability to independently evaluate complex financing proposals.
Good understanding of credit structuring, collateral evaluation, risk mitigation, documentation requirements, and portfolio monitoring.
Familiarity with risk management principles, internal controls, governance processes, and compliance frameworks.
Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to identify both transaction-level and broader business risks.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present risk findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders and approval authorities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and with external parties.
Able to manage multiple priorities effectively and work within tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in equipment financing, dealer financing, structured lending, or asset-based lending would be an advantage.
Exposure to policy drafting, compliance frameworks, internal controls, audit coordination, or enterprise risk monitoring would be preferred.
Experience in cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional risk assessment would be an added advantage.
