Process Engineering Specialists (PES) is a multi-discipline consultancy providing specialist project management, validation, and automation services to our pharmaceutical clients throughout Asia, Europe, and the US.
We are hiring a Financial Accountant to take charge of our full spectrum of accounting and finance functions. This role is perfect for someone detail-oriented, compliance-savvy, and confident in managing both day-to-day finance operations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate full sets of accounts for assigned entities. Ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Manage accounts payable: process bills, posting payments, and resolve queries.
- Posting of receipts from clients.
- Manage related-party transactions, loans, and intercompany transactions.
- Preparation of monthly accounting schedules.
Reconciliations & Closing
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and P&L.
- Prepare and post period-end adjustments.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with SFRS, IFRS and relevant standards.
- Support management accounting functions, including variance analysis.
- Prepare management reports when required.
Taxation
- Assist with the preparation and filing of quarterly GST or VAT returns, and other taxes (where applicable).
- Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate income tax - working with tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines and maintain proper documentation.
Audit & Compliance
- Assist with the year-end statutory audit of financial statements including attending to auditors queries and requirements.
- Preparation of audit schedules as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Process & System Improvement
- Continuously review and improve accounting systems, workflows, and processes for efficiency.
- Support ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within multi-entity structures.
- Strong knowledge of SFRS, IFRS, IRAS and GST regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail with good problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, be a self-motivated team player and meet strict deadlines.
