Finance Officer

M Capital Management (MCM) is a Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) licensed Venture Capital Fund Manager with a VCC (Variable Capital Corp) umbrella structure managing distinct funds under the brand of M Venture Partners (www.m-venturepartners.com).

The firm is currently hiring a Finance Officer to join the Singapore based team. This position is a great opportunity to gain a broad range of experience within a growing venture capital firm. Responsibilities will revolve around fund accounting, fund administration, compliance reporting, financial and office management. MCM is seeking a like-minded professional who is keen to establish a long-term relationship with a rapidly expanding regional venture capital franchise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with existing service providers including auditors, tax agents, legal counsel and fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Assist with annual audit and tax process for all management entities
• Maintain and update fund and portfolio transactions on internal systems
• Reconcile and manage cash projections for MCM and its entities
• Manage reimbursements, invoicing, and day to day operational needs
• Assist in new fund launches including onboarding service providers, opening bank accounts, and coordinating with external legal counsel fund administrator on entity formation and fund documents
• Respond to ad-hoc investor information requests and liaise with other teams, e.g. investor relations, investment team, to complete such requests
• Manage any compliance reporting relating to MAS, DITC, FATCA, CRS, and any other regulations applicable to the fund
• Assist with additional ad hoc projects such as KYC requirements and website updates as needed

Requirements

• At least 3 years of corporate and/or fund accounting experience in the alternative investment industry
• Some audit experience will be ideal
• Graduated with bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Chartered Accountancy qualification such as CA or CPA is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated proficiency with Google Docs Editors suite, i.e. Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides
• Passionate about the start-up scene and venture capital investments

• Must use discretion working with confidential and sensitive information regarding the company, executive management, and investors
• Highly collaborative with excellent communication (written and verbal)
• Ability to work well in a team structure yet demonstrate independence with tasks assigned
