About the Job
The Finance Manager is responsible for general accounting tasks of Singapore Entity and ensure timely closing and reporting of monthly financial activities following IFRS and company's policies. This role is responsible for leading financial audits, managing budgets, ensuring timely filings, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Perform timely and accurate month-end closing & year-end closing and reporting process in the given timeline.
- Monthly reconciliation and updating of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger, Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet.
- Handle full spectrum of accounting duties, including overseeing the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) vendor to perform account payables, account receivables, fixed assets and general ledger functions.
- Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation and prepare monthly profit & loss schedules, balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliations and cash flow related reports.
- Prepare and review all accounts, sub-ledgers, and reporting, ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards and principles, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Review all month-end & year-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation, validate accuracy and completeness of accounting postings for the relevant closing period, responsible for timely and accurate month-end & year-end closing, reconciliations and reporting process.
- Maintaining proper cash flow records and developing cash flow projections
- Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements.
- Coordinate all information necessary for statutory reporting such as quarterly GST submission.
- Establish tables of accounts, and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, accounting standards and company policies.
- Liaise with banks on banking transactions.
- Liaison with auditors and tax agent and support in year-end statutory audit and tax filing/ queries.
- Oversee the month-end & year-end close process, constantly recommending/ implementing procedures to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance simplicity.
Key Skills/Core Competencies
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated strength in business partnering and stakeholder management.
- Highly driven self-starter with strong perseverance dynamic, diligent, and resilient.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
- Good working knowledge of IFRS, with the ability to ensure accurate application in accounting records.
- Experience with OneStream consolidation system is an added advantage.
- Experience working with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) environments or managing BPO partners is highly preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
- ACCA / Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Min 8 years of relevant working experience with exposure to a wide range of finance/accounting responsibilities.
