Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Finance Head of Department.
- Responsible for managing and supporting the Finance team to ensure timely and accurate manner of financial reporting.
- Communicates with Headquarters on all aspects of financial matters.
- Responsible for day-to-day financial operations within the company such as AP, cash flow reports, exchange rate.
- Managing container ship loan portfolio and negotiation terms
- Ensuring compliance of the Group policies, local accounting standards and tax regulations
- Ensure timely payment allocation and cash management
- Handles loan matters, GST return and yearly conciliation
- Foreign currency evaluation
- Supports budget and forecasting activities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reports based on business needs
- Preparing revenue reports and work with Head of Department for audit purposes
- Liaise with external auditors
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual budget for each department, ensuring budget allocation is reasonable
- Optimize and enhance the finance system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in financial role in shipping industry
- Strong financial knowledge of accounting standards as well as analytical skills at a very high level.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is essential for preparation of reports in Chinese to Headquarters
- Highly motivated and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive leadership attitude and respond rapidly to requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills, initiative and ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in MS office applications
