Job Description: Finance Manager

Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions
  • Responsible for timely submission of full set of monthly financial, management and statutory reports including GST return, cash flow statements and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance of corporate policies, internal controls, financial accounting standards, Charities Act, tax and legislative requirement
  • Direct and coordinate the annual budget exercise and assist in external and internal audits
  • Implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to support the organisation in improving the efficiency of its operations
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as the Board, Finance and Audit & Risk Committee on finance related matters
  • Review Finance manual which includes procurement policy and propose improvement on procedures and processes
  • Responsible for the supervision and development of Accounts Executives
  • Attend quarterly Board meetings
  • Any other tasks and assignments as assigned

Qualification and Job Requirements

  • Degree in Finance or Accountancy
  • At least 7 years relevant experience of similar capacitywithin a mid-sized organisation of at least 200 headcounts, preferably within the social service sector
  • Proficiency in MYOB or ERP accounting software
  • Good team player and positive working attitude
  • Experience with implementation of ERP system would be an added advantage
  • Charities accounting would be an added advantage
  • Meticulous and organised and details oriented
  • Strong leadership in managing staff related issue
  • Experience with grant administration and Charities accounting would be an added advantage
