Job Description

Role Overview

The successful candidate will work in our accounting team based in Singapore. You will supervise a team to handle full set of financial books independently and ensure proper compliance to statutory reporting and/or other regulatory reporting. You will engage in preparation of accounting reports and analysis, provide support to Group Finance.

You will work with colleagues from different business units and regions to ensure the business objective and management target is achieved, hence possession of strong analytical skill is crucial to the success of this post. You are also expected to liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers directly. This position demands good level of interpersonal skills, and the candidate should be able to deal with people of different background and flexibility to travel on need basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 5 finance personnel to ensure smooth operation.
  • Manage full spectrum of accounting functions, ensure timely deliverables of financial accounting and reporting, including financial period close and monthly reports for Internal Group audit and tax purposes.
  • Prepare journal entries to support month end closing
  • Handle full set of financial books independently and ensure proper compliance to statutory reporting and/or other regulatory reporting
  • Responsible for annual statutory audit and other special audits (i.e. AGTO)
  • Handle tax filing matters (i.e. GST, SST, VAT, WHT where applicable). Ensure timely tax submissions according to the requirements of the respective jurisdiction.
  • Provide support to stakeholders of different business units and regions to ensure the business objective and management target is achieved. (i.e. AR collections /Vendor management)
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers directly.
  • Any other adhoc tasks/ projects as assigned by the Management.

Role Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or related discipline with qualification in professional accounting body
  • Previous training in Big-4 with 5 years and MNC is preferable.
  • Minimum of six years relevant experience, of which solid experience in financial reporting and compliance is a plus
  • Strong in leadership who can motivate and supervise a team of accounting expertise
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English
  • Independent, proactive with positive and hands-on attitude, able to meet tight timeline in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience in Oracle accounting systems is an advantage
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Accounting Manager

Priority will be given to candidates who currently possess the right to work in Singapore.
