Role Overview

The Finance, HR & HP Admin Coordinator provides administrative support across Finance, Human Resources, and High Performance (HP) functions, with a primary focus on claims processing and financial coordination for athletes and HP programmes.

The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant processing of claims while supporting the smooth operations of SA's high-performance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Claims Processing (Primary Function)

  • Process athlete and coach claims (e.g. training, competition, travel, allowances)
  • Verify supporting documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Liaise with athletes, coaches, and internal teams on claim submissions
  • Track and ensure timely reimbursement and payment processing
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit purposes

2. Finance Support

  • Assist in budget tracking and expense monitoring for HP programmes
  • Support invoice processing and payment coordination
  • Work with Finance team to ensure proper documentation
  • Maintain financial records and assist with reporting where required

3. High Performance (HP) Administration

  1. Provide administrative support for HP programmes, competitions, and training activities
  2. Coordinate logistics such as travel, accommodation, and schedules (where required)
  3. Maintain athlete records and programme documentation
  4. Support communication between athletes, coaches, and management

4. HR & General Administration

Support basic HR functions (e.g. onboarding documentation, records management)
Maintain proper filing and administrative systems
Assist with coordination of meetings, reports, and internal processes

Personal Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Basic understanding of finance processes (claims, invoices, documentation)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and administrative tools
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Responsible and reliable
  • Process-driven and organised
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced sports environment
    May be required to support events outside standard working hours
  • Familiarity with sports environment is an advantage
