We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, statutory compliance, and payroll-related filings in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have strong working experience in Xero, a solid understanding of local regulations, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
This role will work closely with CFO to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting
- Maintain full set of accounts using Xero
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Maintain general ledger and ensure proper documentation
Statutory Compliance (Singapore)
- Ensure compliance with: Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) / Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)
- Prepare and file: GST returnsCorporate tax filings (ECI, Form C/C-S)Annual returns and financial statements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries
Payroll & CPF Administration
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time
- Handle CPF submissions via Central Provident Fund Board portal
- Ensure compliance with statutory contributions and payroll regulations
- Maintain employee payroll records and resolve discrepancies
Cash Flow & Treasury
- Monitor cash flow and working capital
- Manage payments, collections, and banking relationships
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Controls & Process Improvement
- Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and automation (within Xero ecosystem)
- Ensure audit readiness and proper documentation
Experience
- 3-6 years of accounting experience in Singapore
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Xero
- Experience handling full set of accounts independently
- Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting standards and tax regulations
- Familiarity with multi-entity / multi-currency accounting
- Exposure to financial modeling or budgeting tools
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of GST, corporate tax, and CPF processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
