Acestes is a Singapore company operating across security, investigations, training, consultancy and technology solutions.

We have ambitious plans for the next two years, and we are looking for a driven and ambitious Finance Executive to join us at an important stage of our growth.

This is not a traditional bookkeeping role.

We want someone who wants to understand how a business actually works - from revenue and invoicing to payroll, cash flow, budgeting and management decisions.

You will have the opportunity to develop from handling financial processes to eventually helping management understand and make decisions based on the company's numbers.

Your Role

You will support and progressively take ownership of areas including:

• Accounts receivable and customer collections

• Accounts payable and supplier payments

• Invoicing and credit notes

• Bank reconciliations

• Payroll and CPF-related processes

• GST and statutory requirements

• Monthly financial reporting

• Cash-flow monitoring

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Cost and revenue analysis

• Financial controls and process improvement

• Accounting system and finance process improvements

• Other finance and business projects assigned by management

We Expect You to Learn

As you develop, you will be expected to build a strong understanding of:

• Singapore accounting and financial requirements

• GST

• CPF and payroll-related matters

• Financial reporting

• Cash-flow management

• Budgeting and forecasting

• Accounts receivable and collection management

• Accounts payable

• Internal controls

• Statutory and compliance requirements

You are not expected to know everything on your first day.

However, you must be able to learn, research, verify information and eventually provide management with accurate financial information and practical recommendations.

We want you to progress beyond simply recording numbers.

We want you to understand what the numbers mean.

We Are Looking For

Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.

You may have:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field

• 0-2 years of working experience

• Good numerical and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Good Excel / Microsoft Office skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles

Experience with accounting software will be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate.

More importantly, we want potential, attitude and drive.

If you are interested in understanding why revenue is increasing but cash is decreasing, why a customer is overdue, how manpower costs affect margins, or how a company's decisions affect its financial position - you may be the person we are looking for.

Ground-Up Culture

As part of our development programme, you will undergo basic security training and work towards becoming a certified Security Officer.

You will gain first-hand exposure to our officers, deployments, manpower requirements, clients and the operational realities of running a security company.

We believe this makes you a better Finance professional because you understand what is actually happening behind the numbers you are analysing.
