About The Role

We are working with a well-established engineering and project-led organisation operating across complex infrastructure and industrial environments globally. As part of its continued expansion across Asia, the business is looking to appoint a Regional Finance Director to lead its Southeast Asia platform.

This is a critical leadership hire, partnering closely with the regional finance head and senior business leaders to shape financial direction, enhance commercial outcomes and support execution across multiple markets.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

This is a highly visible leadership position, partnering closely with regional and country leadership to drive financial performance across a project-driven business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Steering regional financial outcomes through close alignment with operational and delivery teams
  • Acting as a key adviser to senior leadership on commercial and financial matters
  • Leading forecasting, budgeting and liquidity planning across multiple countries
  • Delivering clear, insightful analysis to guide decision-making at senior level
  • Ensuring robust financial governance, controls and regulatory alignment across jurisdictions
  • Overseeing regional finance operations and improving efficiency of support structures
  • Contributing to strategic planning and supporting regional growth initiatives
  • Building and developing a high-performing finance team across the region

Requirements

We are seeking a commercially minded finance leader with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a complex, multi-country environment.

You will typically demonstrate:

  • A broad finance background with 15 years + finance experience spanning areas such as planning, reporting, cash management, and controls
  • MUST have had experience of managing projects ideally in a construction, engineering, or similar environment undertaking project reviews, schedules etc
  • Exposure to industries with a strong project or contract-based commercial model
  • Prior ownership of a business unit or country-level financial performance
  • Experience working across multiple markets, either in a regional role or specialist capacity
  • A track record of partnering closely with operational teams to drive business outcomes
