Responsibilities
- Define and implement the company's financial strategy in line with overall business objectives.
- Provide strong financial leadership and guidance to both the executive team and finance function.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and senior management on financial performance, risks and opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and oversight of budgets, forecasts and management reporting.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational and expansion needs.
- Contribute to long-term business planning and capital allocation decisions.
- Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Ensure timely, accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR and general ledger activities.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Deliver commercial insights to support performance improvement and achievement of business targets.
- Ensure an effective and embedded risk and compliance framework across the Group.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and key advisors.
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including potential mergers, acquisitions and investments.
- Consolidate and manage financial operations across regional entities in Malaysia, Japan and the United States, including management fees and cross-border reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting,
- Business Administration or a related discipline CPA or equivalent preferred.
- At least 10 years of senior finance leadership experience, ideally within the entertainment, nightlife or F&B industries.
- Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations and risk management.
- Proven track record of working with external auditors and delivering timely, accurate consolidated financial statements for multi-entity organisations.
- Experience in both audit firms and in-house finance roles within private companies.
- Demonstrated success in driving finance digitalisation and automation (e.g. ERP, BI tools, e-invoicing).
- Strategic, forward-thinking leader with aproactive and change-driven mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills, including close collaboration with the CEO.
- Prior experience as a CFO or in a comparable senior finance leadership role.
