Our client is a key player in public healthcare, recognised for its commitment to clinical excellence, research and education. As part of its continued focus on strengthening financial stewardship and supporting long-term sustainability, there is now an opportunity for an experienced finance leader to join them as Finance Director.

Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the organisation, partnering closely with senior management to drive financial planning, governance and performance outcomes. You will lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting and multi-year financial planning processes, ensuring timely and insightful management reporting to support decision-making. A key aspect of the role will be to translate strategic priorities into robust financial plans, resource allocation frameworks and performance targets. Additionally, you will oversee financial governance, internal controls and risk management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards while strengthening audit processes. You will advise on major capital investments and strategic initiatives, providing clear financial oversight on funding, cashflow and project performance.

Requirements

Ideally, you hold a Degree in Finance, Accountancy or a related discipline, with a professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA advantageous. You bring at least 10-15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within healthcare or similarly complex, regulated environments. You are strategic and commercially astute, with deep expertise in financial planning, performance management and governance. You are a confident communicator, able to engage credibly with senior stakeholders, and have a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
