Job summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Finance Business Partner to support the business leadership and operations teams in driving financial performance, strategic growth, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing meaningful financial insights, business analysis, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making and business expansion initiatives.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Business Unit Leadership and Operations teams to provide financial insights that support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Support the development of financial strategies, annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term business plans.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes to align business strategies with achievable financial targets.
- Review and challenge operational plans by assessing financial assumptions, business drivers, and forecast accuracy.
- Prepare detailed financial analysis, management reports, and performance dashboards to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Conduct monthly financial reviews, including variance analysis and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking.
- Perform Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and present financial insights and recommendations to management.
- Evaluate business and contract performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost optimisation.
- Develop financial models and business cases for strategic initiatives, capital investments, and new business opportunities.
- Support continuous business improvement initiatives including cost reduction, pricing strategies, process enhancements, and contract negotiations.
- Support contract tendering and bidding exercises through financial modelling and profitability analysis.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and coordinate with treasury teams on funding requirements and cash management.
- Ensure best practices in financial reporting, financial analysis, governance, and compliance standards are maintained.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across departments and functions.
- Participate in commercial discussions and provide financial advisory support during negotiations with customers and vendors.
- Prepare journal vouchers (JV) for accruals and unbilled revenue adjustments.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and assignments as required.
Pre-requisites:
- Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum [X] years of relevant experience in Finance Business Partnering, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or related functions.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business performance analysis.
- Commercially astute with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage business leaders effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in tender pricing, contract management, or operational finance will be an added advantage.
