Job Description

Our client, a publicly listed technology innovator, is hiring a Finance Business Partner to support strategic decision-making and drive commercial performance across Asia Pacific. This role requires strong business partnering capability, commercial acumen, and proven experience managing a team within a regional, multi-market environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders across APAC, delivering insights that influence growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead a small team of commercial/financial analysts, ensuring accurate, timely, and insight-driven reporting.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Product teams to support business cases, pricing decisions, and new market opportunities.

Commercial Finance & Decision Support

  • Drive financial modelling, scenario planning, and ROI analyses for strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate commercial performance indicators, including pricing, margins, customer profitability, and channel economics.
  • Provide forward-looking analysis to shape annual plans, market expansion, and optimisation strategies.

Regional Planning & Performance Monitoring

  • Support regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial reviews across multiple APAC markets.
  • Consolidate performance insights across countries, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with local finance teams to ensure alignment on targets, reporting accuracy, and execution discipline.

Financial Governance & Controls

  • Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements across the region.
  • Support audit, tax, and statutory processes through coordination with country teams and Group Finance.

Process Optimisation & Systems Improvement

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, analytics, and commercial processes.
  • Contribute to system enhancement projects (ERP upgrades, BI dashboards, automation initiatives).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA/CA/ACCA preferred.
  • Minimum 610 years of commercial finance or business partnering experience in a multinational company.
  • Mandatory team management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead analysts or commercial finance teams.
  • Strong regional APAC exposure, comfortable supporting multiple markets simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, modelling, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence non-finance stakeholders and support strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency with ERP (SAP/Oracle/Workday) and BI tools.
  • Willingness to travel regionally when required.
