Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Business Partner to lead our finance operations team within the healthcare industry. This role will be responsible for financial and statutory reporting, strengthening financial controls and compliance, streamlining core finance processes, and driving continuous improvement across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) functions.
The Finance Business Partner will also play a key role in our upcoming ERP implementation, overseeing data cleansing, migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-implementation stabilisation. In addition, the role will be a key business partner supporting the Business Unit to drive key financial objectives and budget initiatives, enhance financial visibility, and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Lead and manage the Finance Operations team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in all accounting transactions and month-end closing activities.
- Identify process gaps and inefficiencies across AP, AR, and GL; design and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and control.
- Eliminate redundant or manual processes through simplification, automation, and alignment to best practices.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with group accounting policies, audit requirements, and healthcare regulatory standards.
ERP Implementation & System Enhancement
- Serve as a key finance representative in the ERP implementation project.
- Lead data cleaning, mapping, and migration from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.
- Develop and execute UAT plans, ensuring end-to-end testing of finance processes and data integrity.
- Support the change management process and ensure successful user adoption post go-live.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Partner with business and department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Provide meaningful insights on financial performance, cost drivers, and trends to support decision-making.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight improvement opportunities to management.
- Drive initiatives that enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability within the healthcare business.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance executives to build strong technical and analytical capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, HR, and IT to ensure alignment on finance processes and reporting.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management, supporting strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
- Minimum 12-15 years of finance experience, with at least 6-8 years in a managerial or team lead capacity.
- Strong understanding of finance operations particularly AP, AR, and GL processes.
- Experience in process improvement, internal controls, and compliance management.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation, including data migration and UAT.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
